CHICAGO – Seatability’s new Solace line was met with reactions of surprise and delight at the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair in Chicago on June 9. The ground-breaking chair line secures Seatability’s role as the world’s leader in quality bungee chair design.

The Solace line’s smooth shape and innovative functionality make it unlike any other product line in the office chair industry. The chairs are assembled with a high number of uniquely designed bungee bands that conform to the individual shape of a user’s body, enhancing both comfort and breathability. The Solace line’s suave design unites irreverence and professionalism in the same product, and debunks the myth that affordable office chairs can’t be cool.

Bill Raftery designs new ‘Solace’ chair line

PROVO, Utah (June 3, 2008) – Bill Raftery, a multiple award-winning designer with over 25 years of experience in the furniture industry, recently completed the design of Seatability’s revolutionary Solace chair line. The remarkably chic office chairs were officially unveiled at the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair in Chicago on June 9.

Solace’s technologically advanced design combined with its creative and comfortable style sets it apart from all other office chairs. The Solace line utilizes Seatability’s patented flat-bungee technology, the Elasticity System, to create a distinctively sensational seating experience. This arrangement of elastic bands individually contours to each unique user according to their body type and sitting preference. For the Solace, Mr. Raftery increased the number of bungee bands from previous Seatability chairs, and enhanced the line’s style and charisma. The design is more original than anything Seatability has ever released.

“The chairs’ results are everything I had hoped for,” said Mr. Raftery. “With the Solace design, I tried to create a superior look and improved feel. By increasing the number of bands on the chairs, the seat and back appear more as a surface and less as an arrangement of cords. I eliminated all exposed fasteners and shaped its figure to be as simple and elegant as possible.”

Mr. Raftery is a three-time NeoCon Best in Show award winner. He runs his own studio in Ohio, Raftery Design Inc., and holds over 40 design and utility patents. He was first introduced to Seatability in 2007.

“We met Bill at NeoCon 2007, and he instantly fell in love with the fresh approach of our Seatability team,” said Derek Perkins, CEO of Seatability. “When we decided that it was time to take Seatability and the bungee chair category to a new level, we knew that working with Bill was going to be vital. I feel lucky that we were able to get such an accomplished chair designer to work with us on our new Solace project.”

Seatability to unveil newly designed ‘Solace’ chair line at NeoCon

CHICAGO (June 3, 2008) – Seatability, the leading bungee chair manufacturer in the United States, today announced the introduction of the Solace chair line, an innovative and uniquely designed office chair line that incorporates new bungee band technology never before seen. The Solace will be officially unveiled at the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair in downtown Chicago on June 9.

The Solace line uses Seatability’s patented flat-bungee technology, the Elasticity System, on both the seating and the lumbar portions of the chairs. Unlike traditional bungee cords, this system of elastic bands is able to individually contour to each unique user according to his or her body type and sitting preference. Seatability shows growth while exhibiting new products at NeoCon 2007

SALT LAKE CITY (June 11, 2007) — Seatability, the United States’ leader in bungee chair innovation, recently participated in the 2007 NeoCon World’s Trade Fair. It was the third consecutive year with Seatability in attendance, and Seatability introduced multiple new products, accessories and options.

Seatability introduced three new versions of their patented Elasticity System chairs, the “Escape,” “React” and “Response.” These three models offer the same unique flat bungee seating at half the cost of other Seatability models. Seatability also introduced a bungee chair drafting chair to its line. The biggest introduction of the show was the unveiling of Seatability color. The Seatability Color Program includes 34 new colored bungee bands.

“Designers eyes light up when they see Seatability bungee chairs,” said Derek Perkins, CEO of Seatability. “Designers are excited and almost relieved to finally find a product for their customers that is unique and truly on the cutting edge. Seatability donates to breast cancer research with pink bungee chair

SALT LAKE CITY (June 1, 2007) — Patterned after the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s Race for a Cure, Seatability recently announced a breast cancer donation fundraiser called Sit for a Cure. Seatability, a Utah manufacturer and importer of ergonomic office chairs, will donate a portion of the proceeds from their new carnation pink Elite model task chair to the Utah chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Sit for a Cure will be officially launched on June 9, 2007 at the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair in Chicago and run through the end of October, which is National Breast Cancer awareness month.

“We have had an amazing response to the pink chair,” said Elizabeth Hansen, Director of Operations at Seatability. “People have been excited about having a uniquely stylish chair that supports a great cause at the same time.”

The bright pink Elite model chair will likely retail for around $245; Seatability will donate $10 of this to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

“When Seatability prepared to launch a new line of 34 colored chairs, the sight of the bright pink chair sparked the idea to donate a portion of the proceeds to breast cancer research,” said Jason Barber, Director of Marketing and Special Projects. “There are many things people can do to support this great cause, and we hope we can help by simply sitting down.”
