What is the difference between the Idealchair Series and bungee chairs?
The difference is the patented technology of the Elasticity System. Although bungee chairs do add comfort and breathability, only Seatability offers flat bands for increased comfort. Round bungee cords can cut off circulation and leave lines on the back of your legs. If you have further questions, sit on the two side-by-side and feel the difference.

Will the bands leave lines on my legs?
No. The bands have an outer lining of polyester threading which is soft to the touch and easy on suits and sensitive skin.

Can the Idealchair Series be used outdoors?
Absolutely. The Idealchair Series is made of mostly rubber and metal, and doesn’t contain any materials that will mold. Our Anywhere, At Ease, and Rebound models are especially convenient for watching sports or a day in the park. We recommend that you keep them out of damp areas and don’t leave them in the elements.

How does the chair adjust?
There are multiple adjustments available, depending on the chair. Click here for a detailed description on how the chair adjusts. The headrest on the Executive models is fixed, as are the arms on the Economy models.

How much weight can the bands support and will they sag with time?
Each Elasticity System band is weight-tested for 418 pounds. If you can fit in it, you can sit in it. Since your weight is evenly distributed, the bands will not lose their elasticity with normal use.

Do the bands come in different colors?
All the chairs are stocked with gray or black bands. Custom colors are available for large orders.

How easy is it to replace the bands and when should I replace them?
The bands can be replaced with a household screwdriver. Each side has two screws. The bands are very durable and should only need replacement in the case of an accident or desired change of color scheme.

How do the chairs come shipped and what kind of assembly is required?
The chairs come boxed and can be shipped via UPS, FedEx, or other carriers. Some chairs require assembly, which takes an average of 15 to 20 minutes. All assembly tools are included.
